Operations Assistant

We’re looking for an Operations Assistant to help keep one of the UK’s leading HGV trailer fleets moving.

This isn’t just a desk job. It’s a role right at the centre of our business — where planning, coordination, and communication all come together to make sure our trailers stay maintained, compliant, and ready for the road. You’ll be the link between the workshop, the office, and the customer, helping to schedule maintenance, manage breakdowns, and keep data accurate across the fleet.

A big part of the role involves keeping on top of the admin — uploading service sheets, updating records, and making sure every detail is logged correctly. It’s the kind of behind-the-scenes work that keeps the whole operation running smoothly.

You’ll work closely with the Operations Manager to keep things running smoothly, making sure trailers are prepped and ready for hire and that every process stays on track. It’s varied, fast-paced, and ideal for someone who likes structure but can think on their feet.

We’re after someone who’s confident juggling multiple tasks, comfortable using systems and spreadsheets, and takes pride in keeping things organised. Experience in transport or logistics would be a bonus, but what matters most is your attitude — we value initiative, teamwork, and getting things done properly.

Job Summary

Here at Fleet Assess we have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our expanding team of HGV Trailer Technicians.

We are looking for Full-Time Skilled Mobile HGV Trailer Fitter. You will be working in from a fully equipped mobile van covering the North West areas.

Responsibilities and Duties

Experience is required in the following areas –

• Trailer Servicing
• MOT Preps
• Trailer Repairs
• Breakdown assistance
• Completing associated paperwork / using electronic device ensuring compliance
• Ensuring all relevant legislation and Health and Safety procedures are adhered to.
• Be able to work both as part of a team and under your own initiative
• You will need a Full UK Driving Licence
